Amy has a PGCE from the University of Nottingham, MA International Commerce from Seoul National University, MA International Relations from Peking University and a BA Chinese Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Despite being new to teaching in international schools, she has substantial teaching experience of over five years in China, Korea, and Ethiopia. Amy aspires to advocate for, support and challenge neurodivergent students as a Learning Support Teacher, and to empower Sixth Form female boarding students to achieve their personal best and to develop the skills, knowledge and intellectual curiosity to prepare them for university life as an Assistant Boarding Mistress in Halla East. As reflected in her educational background, Amy is committed to lifelong learning and is excited to be completing her SENCO qualification and remaining abreast of best international practice in boarding provision and safeguarding to continue growing as an educator. In her free time, Amy enjoys travel, baking, fine dining, and binge watching Netflix. She holds a Korean passport, but as a truly global citizen, she has studied and worked abroad in the US, China, HK, Japan, Ethiopia, and Cambodia. Amy lives on Jeju with her husband who also works at NLCS Jeju and enjoys the fruits of her baking labor.
