Fifteen students visited universities in the UK over the half-term break, with a day in Oxford, a day in Cambridge and three days in London.
In Oxford, we had a tour of the Engineering Department and were shown around Christchurch by NLCS Jeju graduate Ho Sung (Aiden) Yoo. In Cambridge, Dr Piers Bursill-Hall (who has visited us on Jeju twice) arranged a day of activities. We started in the museum of the Cavendish Laboratory and say the equipment used by world-famous scientists who made the discoveries that allow us to understand the structure of the atom, DNA, and much more.
In London, we visited UCL, King's College London, Imperial College and LSE, and met 15 alumni for a meal. We also met alumni in Oxford and Cambridge; it's good to see a growing community of NLCS Jeju students studying in the UK.
