Monday after school represents a very special part of NLCS Jeju life. The House competition is an integral part of the school community and essential in developing the identity of each House.
The Senior Houses compete against one another in order to be awarded House points and competition is understandably fierce. The events throughout the year are a varied collection and reinforce our philosophy of breadth in the co curricular programme. Creative competitions, such as Art, Music, Drama and Karaoke, lie alongside sports competitions that include Rugby, Netball, Football and Swimming.
The finale of the House programme lies at the very end of June where the whole school visits Seogwipo Sports Stadium for a day of Athletics. It is often this competition that determines the final league positions and winner, the result of which is announced with great anticipation in the final assembly of the year.
The House competition is a wonderful way for the whole House to try out something new and compete at an activity which they might never have done before.
