Boarding is at the heart of NLCS Jeju and our aim is to create a home from home for all of our boarders. There are six Houses catering for students from Year 7 to Year 13. Each House is split into separate accommodation for boys and girls with a communal Atrium in between.
The Boarding House is where students sleep, work and live but, moreover, is a caring, vibrant and cheerful environment, which will enable each boarder to achieve their potential. This is where they will form their most long-lasting relationships, with peers and staff alike. It is their anchor and their base as they move through the school.
Each Boarding House is its own community. It is home to the Housemaster or Housemistress as well as an Assistant Housemaster or Housemistress. These staff members are resident in the House and so are on hand to care for each students’ welfare. In addition there are a team of Tutors who provide academic and pastoral support in the evenings during the week. Each House has its own Matron who oversees the daytime running of the House.
